Other than Delhi and Bihar states and union territories like Chandigarh, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, West Bengal, Kerala are the most populous states and UTs by density.

Ladakh is the least populous union territory with a density of 2.8/km2, while the least populous state by density is Arunachal Pradesh with a population density of 17/km2.
